Description:
The cryo-correlative fluorescence and electron microscopy workflow should allow the combining of:
  1. The room temperature 3D fluorescence imaging of live tissues and tissue cultures for determining areas and time points of interest;
 2. The high resolution 3D fluorescence imaging of the same sample 
     (after vitrification) at cryogenic temperatures to visualize   
     macromolecular interactions, and to select volumes for detailed           investigation in electron microscopy;
3.  The 3D volume high resolution imaging with cryogenic FIB/SEM to
     obtain detailed 3D information exactly on the selected location on
     structure of the specimen in the vitrified state
4.  The selection and lift-out of a thin section of the vitrified sample,
     and subsequent transfer to a TEM grid for further detailed
     investigation with cryoTEM. 

Where the correlation of the images from the different instruments and imaging modes should be seamlessly guided by dedicated software.
