The Dutch government has appointed TenneT as the grid operator of the Dutch offshore grid (Net beheerder op zee). As the offshore grid operator, TenneT can realize its ambition to facilitate the transition to a more renewable energy supply as laid out by the government. As we look ahead to 2023, the Dutch government has set out a roadmap for bringing more offshore wind energy to the mainland. This sets out a schedule for connecting 3,500 MW of offshore wind power, with a timetable of when each wind energy zone will be operational. These zones are Borssele, Hollandse Kust (south) and Hollandse Kust (north) respectively.
TenneT TSO is also starting with the preparation of new Dutch offshore connections after 2023. After the formal decision of the ministry, the intention is to build another 5 to 7 new Dutch offshore grid connections.
In the long term (scope >2029) the ministry has the intention to extend the current "Routekaart Wind op Zee" and build more Dutch offshore grid connections, but this is still in the development phase.
The primary objective of the project " Implementation of the new collaboration platform for Offshore" is to
select and implement an new collaboration platform, where the (large) offshore projects can efficiently and effective manage the collaboration between the project and the contractors.
This new collaboration platform should decrease:
- the review time by engineers
- system maintenance by document managers
- time needed for approvals (gates) and draft invoices for project managers (PM) and operational project leads (OPL)
- time to generate contract overviews for financial project leads (FPL) and contact managers.
