The new Terminal
The new terminal of Schiphol is located at the southeastern edge of the Schiphol Plaza, on the location of the former P2 parking and on top of the Baggage Hall South. Together with Pier A, which is currently being built, the new terminal is considered a necessary addition, facilitating Schiphol Airport's passenger traffic. Once constructed, the new terminal will serve both the existing Pier B, and the newly built Pier A, and possibly in the future, the regional operations as well as the extra passenger traffic allocated to Pier C and Pier D.
The new terminal will have a footprint of approx. 120,000 square meters and be capable of handling 14+ million additional passengers per year.
SNBV is looking for a Contractor that has both the capability and experience to prepare and conduct the construction works in a partnership with SNBV.
The Contract involves the management, engineering design, procurement, delivery and commissioning of: - Provision of non-permanent works i.e. accommodation, plant, equipment, temporary works;
- Construction of foundations and basement;
- Utility integration into the existing airport infrastructure;
- Civil and steel structure with cores and staircases;
- Façade, roof works;
- Primary internal construction including compartmentation / core walls, Passenger Transport Installations (PTI), Plant & MEP, balustrades, glazing & spandrels, formation of 3rd party areas;
- Fit Out works including wall, floor, ceiling finishes, 2nd / 3rd fix MEP & specialist systems, signage & main FF&E;
- External works: roads, pavements, airside apron and pavement adjustments;
- Creation of 3rd party areas for commercial / retail, airline lounges etc;
- System integration, and;
- Support and coordination of ORAT and other 3rd party contractors i.e. FFE, airport system contractors, baggage contractor.
The Contract will be split into three elements as follows: - Stage 1 Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)
- Stage 1 basement and pit works
- Stage 2 main works
