General description of what we are looking for:  MSE department is looking for a versatile high force electrodynamic mechanical thermal analyser (DMTA) suitable for polymers, composites and metals (such as steels, Al, Ti and Ni-based alloys) uniaxial and multiaxial testing for which a loading capacity of 15 kN or higher is considered to be required. The system must be capable of accurate DMTA at low loads (between 2N - 1kN) for polymers and perform conventional tensile/fatigue tests at higher loads (up to 20 kN) for metals.
