General information TenneT, as the offshore grid operator in the German as well as the Dutch part of the North Sea, is responsible for the design, fabrication, installation and operation of the grid connections (offshore high voltage stations) which will transport the wind energy generated offshore to shore.
TenneT recently has seen a significant increase in offshore wind targets, due to the new European targets of 55% renewables in 2030, resulting in a very large portfolio. These majority of these projects will commence in the next years and will have to be realized in the years 2028-2032. Also subsequently a continuous realization pace is expected of multiple offshore grid connections every year.
Scope With this tender TenneT targets to establish a framework agreement with service providers for supervision of cable production. This service compromises the production monitoring and reviews, regular reporting and quality assurance of different cable and accessories during the production. Target is to ensure the high quality standard and prober working of the equipment. The supervision will be carried out at the production site of the manufacturers and ensure an independent proof of functionality, quality and integrity of cables.
